Ballast by Portland Schooner Co.

Ballast is a boutique event space in Portland's Old Port, run by Portland Schooner Co. It hosts private events, dinners and celebrations in a historic setting with a blank-canvas feel that hosts can shape to their own plans. The room holds up to 50 guests for a seated meal or roughly 85 for a standing cocktail event, with capacity depending on the layout.

The space has an on-site commercial kitchen and dining furniture for events. Guests can pair a party at Ballast with a private charter on one of Portland Schooner Co.'s five historic sailing vessels. Pricing and availability are handled through an inquiry form on the website, and the business is located at 345 Fore Street.
