Steaks and Gulf seafood in a historic building on Plaza Ferdinand00 PM Facebook-f Instagram 400 South Palafox Street, Pensacola, FL

Jackson's Steakhouse serves wet-aged steaks, Midwestern grain-fed beef and Gulf seafood in a dining room that overlooks Plaza Ferdinand in Pensacola. The menu leans on prime rib, Maine lobster and dishes built on Florida Panhandle ingredients such as Apalachicola oysters and Pensacola red snapper, reflecting the approach of founding executive chef Irv Miller. It is part of Great Southern Restaurants, a local group that also runs The Fish House and Five Sisters Blues Café.
Reservations can be made by phone or online, and the restaurant hosts private events and sells gift cards. The building dates to the 1860s, and its chandeliers, mural and French doors reflect the 1821 transfer of Florida to the United States, which Andrew Jackson accepted at the Plaza. Weekly specials run through the week, including a Friday martini lunch where the first martini comes with an entrée. Cooking classes are also offered.
