Sweet Bar Bakery

Sweet Bar Bakery is an uptown Oakland bakery and café on Broadway at 24th, known for fresh bagels baked daily along with artisan pastries, cupcakes and house-roasted coffee. Its menu also covers grilled panini, flatbreads, salads and soups, and it bakes vegan and gluten free options alongside everything else.

The bakery has indoor seating and stools at the bar, and it takes phone orders for pickup as well as catering for cakes and parties, which needs 24 hours of notice. Orders can also be placed through UberEats, Postmates and DoorDash. Because the menu is limited on some days, calling ahead is a good idea. The shop sits across from the YMCA, a couple of blocks north of Grand, near the Fox Theatre.
