Leading The Pack In Oakland CA

Leading The Pack Pet Salon is a dog grooming salon in the Temescal neighborhood of Oakland, focused on skin health, gentle handling and behavior-aware care. Services include a Premium Bath & Brush, a Full Groom with haircut or style, and a Puppy Intro Session meant to ease young dogs into grooming without pressure. The salon takes puppies, senior dogs, pets with special needs and nervous or feisty dogs, and uses pH-balanced, hypoallergenic products.

Grooming is one dog at a time, with no cages or crates, and dogs are sent home soon after their groom. Pricing depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament, and high-maintenance coats kept more than four weeks between visits may take extra time. Walk-in services such as nail trims, ear cleaning and teeth brushing are offered Tuesday through Friday and on Saturday mornings, and skin-related shampoos and medicated soaks are included at no extra charge. The salon is at 4801 Shattuck Avenue.
