Show-ring trims and gentle grooming for dogs, cats and exotic petsOakland, CA
Lafleur Pet Grooming is a family-owned grooming business run by Dakota and Shea Lafleur, who started it in 2022. The groomers compete in national grooming competitions and are known for English Cocker Spaniel show trims, poodles and freestyle work. Services range from everyday haircuts and baths to breed trims, add-on styling such as pet-safe hair color and accessories, and grooming rehabilitation for pets that have had a rough time with grooming.
The shop also grooms reptiles, birds, rodents and some farm animals. Shea has a particular interest in nervous pets and pet mental health, and Dakota works often with puppies to introduce them to grooming early. Appointments are the usual way in, and the best way to reach the shop is by text or phone. A receptionist is available Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings and early afternoons. The business is at Keller Avenue in Oakland, near the 580 freeway.
