Joyful Horizons Daycare

Joyful Horizons Daycare is a child care center in Newport News that cares for infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers, and school-age children. The center is known for how clean its facility is and for its calm atmosphere, with large play spaces so children can burn off energy. Meals are served through the day, and many are made in-house rather than microwaved or frozen.

Families can set up a tour and meet the staff by calling the center to start enrollment. Enrollment requires a birth certificate, social security card, school health form, immunization record and parent identification, plus a registration fee and first week's tuition. The center uses an open-door policy, so parents are welcome to stop by and see the classrooms in action. Only pre-approved family and friends may pick up a child, and outside doors are kept locked during the day.
