Seafood in New Orleans

Seafood restaurants help you enjoy fresh fish, shellfish and classic dishes, from raw oysters on the half shell to char-grilled or Rockefeller-style oysters, along with gumbo, turtle soup, boiled seafood and fresh fish of the day. Many also host private events, so a group dinner can be part of your search. Before you choose, ask what is fresh that day and whether the kitchen can adjust dishes for allergies or spice levels. If you plan to visit at a busy time or bring a larger group, call ahead to book, and confirm the hours, since they can vary from day to day.
