Skagit Valley Family YMCA

The Skagit Valley Family YMCA is a nonprofit that runs childcare, a gym and aquatics center, summer camps, teen programs and support for at-risk youth across Skagit County. Its childcare covers infants through age 6 in early learning classrooms, plus before- and after-school care for kindergarten through fifth grade at sites in Mount Vernon, Burlington, Sedro-Woolley and the Burlington-Edison area. The Y was named Best Childcare Provider in 2023 in a local readers' vote.

The Y accepts state childcare subsidies from DCYF, offers member pricing on tuition, and provides financial assistance to qualifying families who don't qualify for state subsidies. Its headquarters on Hoag Road in Mount Vernon has a gym and pool open to the public on a weekday and weekend schedule, with Y Kids care at the same building. Sunday access is limited to members, and the Aquatics Center closes 30 minutes before the building.
