Childcare & preschool in Mount Vernon

Childcare and preschool businesses look after children while parents work or study, and many also offer early learning programs that help children get ready for kindergarten. Common services include infant and toddler care, preschool and pre-kindergarten classes, before and after school care, and summer camps. Before you choose, ask how staff are trained and what the ratio of caregivers to children is for your child's age, and ask to tour the space during active hours. Check that the program is licensed and ask how they handle sick days and pickup rules. Many programs fill up early, so it helps to call and ask about waitlists well before you need a spot.
