Big Blast

Big Blast sells fireworks for celebrations of all sizes, from backyard parties and birthdays to weddings, gender reveals and grand openings. Its party and wedding packages bundle fountains, party wheels, candles and sparklers, and the store also carries cake assortments plus single fountains and sparklers for smaller gatherings. Big Blast also sells wholesale to people who want to resell fireworks or raise money for a nonprofit.

The store is at 8170 Atlee Road in Mechanicsville and is open year-round, with shorter hours on Friday and Saturday and expanded hours around Diwali, Christmas, New Year's and the Fourth of July. Shoppers can call about individual needs, and a discount club sends offers by email or text. Reviewers mention staff who help first-time buyers choose their fireworks.
