Habitat For Humanity of the Northern Flint Hills

Habitat for Humanity of the Northern Flint Hills is an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International that builds and repairs affordable housing. Its work includes new construction, rehabilitation, neighborhood revitalization, home repair, and affordable housing advocacy. The group has worked with community partners for more than thirty years and has built over 30 homes in Riley and Pottawatomie counties. It also runs a ReStore selling donated building materials and household goods.

Families can apply to buy a Habitat home or request home repairs, and the organization offers Aging in Place help for older adults who want to stay in their homes and Veterans Build opportunities for veterans, service members and their families. It serves Riley and Pottawatomie counties and Geary County on a case-by-case basis. Habitat's offices are at 514 Pillsbury Drive in Manhattan, and the ReStore is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Assistance is offered without any requirement to adhere to a particular faith.
