Flint Hills Area Builders Association

The Flint Hills Area Builders Association is a nonprofit trade group for the local building industry, with more than 200 members that include builders, contractors, bankers, realtors, lumber suppliers and landscapers. Since 1977 it has brought these businesses together and offers continuing education, scholarships and public events such as the Home Show, the Parade of Homes and a golf tournament.

Anyone who helps turn a patch of ground into a house can join, and members come from Riley, Geary, Clay, Pottawatomie, Marshall and Morris counties. The association belongs to the National Association of Home Builders and the Kansas Building Industry Association, and it supports a self-insured workers compensation plan through KBIG. The office is in Manhattan.
