From the Land of Kansas

Green Valley Honey produces local honey, pollen and handmade soaps, and sells honeybees as well. The honey is sold in sizes from 2-ounce bottles to 5-gallon buckets, in both plastic and glass containers.

The operation manages more than 70 beehives, all within a 15-mile radius of Manhattan. Beekeepers offer a free service to remove unwanted honeybees from trees, buildings and swarms. From April through October, honey is sold at a stand on Hughes Road, and the team can also give presentations on honeybees to groups by arrangement.
