Willy Street Co-op

Willy Street Co-op is a community-owned grocery co-op with departments for produce, bulk cheese, meat, seafood, a deli and bakery, beer, wine and spirits, wellness products and general merchandise. Its hot bar and deli offer prepared food, and it sells a wide range of organic and local products, with a focus on fair trade and local suppliers.

Anyone can shop at the co-op, but owners who invest in the business get voting rights on its board and access to owner-only sales and perks at local businesses. The co-op runs cooking classes and workshops, and it has several Madison locations. The main store is at 1221 Williamson Street on Madison's east side, and it has operated since 1974.
