About RED

The story

RED is a Madison restaurant serving chef-created dishes that draw on Japanese cuisine and a menu that spans continents, with sushi and signature rolls among its strengths. Co-owners Tanya Zhykharevich and Jack Yip opened the restaurant in 2011 and later moved to a larger space.

The dining room is modern and intimate, with a lounge, a chef's table for exclusive dinners and a bar with craft cocktails. Reservations are available through Resy, and the restaurant also offers private events and gift cards. RED is located on West Washington Avenue, a few blocks from the Capitol.
