Parthenon Gyros

Parthenon Gyros is a Madison restaurant known for its house-made gyros, which are ground from lamb and beef in-house, seasoned with Greek oregano and house-ground pepper, and seared on a vertical rotisserie fire grill. The signature gyro is served on grilled pita with onions, parsley, tomatoes and house-made tzatziki, and the menu also includes a Mega Gyro, chicken skewer options, a vegetarian pita, Greek salad, and fries with cheddar sauce or feta. Desserts include baklava and honey or Nutella puffs.

The family has run the restaurant since 1972 and is known as the first gyro restaurant in Wisconsin. Orders can be placed for takeout, dine-in, delivery, or catering, and the restaurant does not accept cash. It is on State Street, with parking available on N. Henry Street.
