Isthmus Veterinary + Care

Isthmus Veterinary Care is a locally owned, independent clinic that treats dogs and cats. The practice describes its approach as smart, sensible vet care, with veterinarians who explain options and present treatment choices to fit a range of budgets. Services include wellness exams, puppy and kitten care, vaccinations, microchipping, digital radiology, in-house ultrasound, dental cleaning under anesthesia, spay and neuter surgery, and senior pet care. The clinic is known for OFA hip, elbow, shoulder and spine radiographs performed without anesthesia, a service that draws clients from out of state.

The clinic at 1730 Fordem Avenue is near downtown Madison and is open Monday through Friday, with Saturday hours in the morning and Sunday closed. Emergency appointments are taken during regular business hours, and after-hours emergencies are directed to Madison's animal ER clinics. New clients can request an appointment online, and the office also handles prescription refills.
