Gotham Bagels

Gotham Bagels makes New York-style bagels by hand in shops across Chicago, Lake Geneva and Madison. Every bagel is rolled by hand, kettle-boiled and then baked fresh each morning in a rotating deck oven. The menu leans on stacked sandwiches like the Brighton Beach, with smoked Atlantic salmon, and Bacon, Egg & Cheddar, along with cream cheese and deli salads made in-house. Coffee is a big part of the offer, with locally roasted beans and organic matcha.

The Madison shop at 112 E Mifflin St. is open Tuesday through Saturday mornings and on Sundays until the bagels run out, usually around noon. Catering platters that serve 9 to 13 people can be scheduled online, with hot pans and coffee available. Gotham also offers gift cards and a rewards program for its Chicago and Lake Geneva shops.
