The Plant Kingdom

The Plant Kingdom is a locally owned retail garden center in Louisville, known for a wide range of trees, shrubs, perennials, houseplants, bonsai, and seasonal items like pumpkins and Christmas trees. The shop carries seeds, bulbs, pots, soils, mulches, tools, and garden statuary, and it has been run by the same family since 1998.

The store offers consulting and design help, including one-on-one personal shopper appointments in-store at no fee and traditional consultations that include a simple sketch and plant estimate for modestly sized, plant-focused projects. Gift cards can be bought online at any hour or in the store during opening hours. The shop is at the corner of Market Street and Baxter Avenue in the NULU neighborhood, with a large parking lot.
