Aesthetics in Jewelry

Aesthetics in Jewelry is a jewelry shop that sells one-of-a-kind and vintage pieces, custom designs, and gemstone jewelry, and is known for its bench repair work. The shop maintains a full line of ruby, emerald, sapphire and diamond jewelry and loose stones, and it also carries rare and unusual stones. Custom work includes CAD-designed pieces, casting in gold, silver and platinum, and engraving. Repairs cover ring resizing, prong retipping, chain and bracelet repair, pearl restringing, and stone recutting.

The shop was founded in 1976 by James Jackson, known as Jimmy the Jeweler, and is located in the Chestnut Center on West Chestnut Street in Louisville. Visitors can come in to try on pieces, and free parking is available. Appraisals for insurance and estate purposes are offered, and some newly purchased items include a free appraisal. Hours are Tuesday through Friday and Saturday morning and early afternoon, and the shop is closed on Sunday and Monday.
