Jewelry in Louisville

Jewelers help people with the pieces they wear and keep: sizing a ring that has become loose or tight, fixing a broken clasp or chain, restringing pearls, retipping worn prongs that might let a stone loosen, or recutting a stone. Many also offer appraisals for insurance or estate records, engagement rings, custom design and engraving. When choosing one, ask whether the work is done in-house or sent out, and request a written estimate before any repair begins. For appraisals, confirm the appraiser's credentials and whether the report is suitable for your insurer. Calling ahead is wise for resizing or custom orders, since those can take several weeks.
