Güven Designs

Güven Designs makes handmade ceramics using Turkish methods and kaolin clay, including tiles, plates, bowls, vases, platters, wine decanters and goblets, along with terra cotta pottery. The business also sells handmade oriental rugs, both new and antique, woven from silk, wool and cotton with plant-based dyes by small looms in Turkey, Persia, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan.

Zafer Güven learned ceramics from his uncle, a fifth generation master ceramic artist, and has been designing and producing ceramic art for over 20 years. He now makes his pieces in Maine. Custom ceramic pieces are available, carpet shipping is offered, and gift cards can be purchased. The shop is located in Freeport.
