Boat Shed

UMD Boat Shed is the base for sea kayaking run by the Recreational Sports Outdoor Program at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Its trips take students and community members paddling in the Harbor, on Lake Superior and beyond, and the shed was formerly known as The Aquatic Center.

Community members can join the paddling alongside students, which makes the shed a practical starting point for getting out on the water in Duluth. It sits on the UMD campus on University Drive, and the program aims to build active, healthy lifestyles and a connection to the outdoors.
