Iowa Public Employees' Retirement System

IPERS is the state's largest public retirement system, administering the IPERS Trust Fund that pays retirement benefits to public employees in Iowa. Its defined benefit plan pays a lifetime benefit calculated by a formula based on years of service and salary, and most of the benefits are funded by investment income.
