Bubba

Bubba is a downtown Des Moines restaurant serving Southern comfort food with a Midwestern streak. The menu draws on regional favorites like fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs, buttermilk fried chicken, shrimp and grits, chicken-fried steak and gumbo, with craft cocktails, microbrews and wine to go with them.

Bubba is in the Western Gateway area of downtown and serves lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, with a dining room, a patio and a cocktail lounge. Monday is steak night, dine-in only from 4 p.m. Carryout is available directly and through DoorDash and GrubHub, and gift cards are sold, though Orchestrate multi-property gift cards are not accepted.
