Ann Flood

Ann Flood is a licensed mental health counselor in Des Moines whose practice centers on individual therapy for anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Her approaches include acceptance and commitment therapy, EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, and the Gottman Method for couples. She also works with relationship issues such as infidelity, codependency, and premarital concerns, and offers group counseling.

Sessions are available by telehealth as well as in person at the office on East 6th Street. The practice accepts insurance from Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross, UnitedHealthcare, and Medica, and clients can also pay out of pocket or online. New clients are being accepted, and a student counselor working under supervision is currently offering ten weeks of free counseling.
