Alpha Women's Center

Alpha Women's Center is a nonprofit offering free pregnancy tests and ultrasounds, along with options advising for women who are pregnant and unsure what to do. Its resource program provides diapers, wipes, baby clothes and other supplies for women who are pregnant or have children under 3, and it also runs parenting classes, spiritual support and abortion recovery support.

Pregnancy tests are self-administered on site with results in about three minutes, and an ultrasound performed by a licensed medical professional is scheduled after a pregnancy test visit. A first visit with a team member lasts about 30 minutes, and what you share stays confidential unless the law requires otherwise. Services are offered at no cost and without regard to age, race, income or religious affiliation. The center has a second office in Ankeny.
