Sophia's Belly Dance Studio

Sophia's Belly Dance Studio teaches American Cabaret Belly Dance, along with other ethnic dance styles such as Israeli Folk, Algerian, and Andalusian Arabic dance. Classes cover posture, basic skills, and layered combinations, and there are beginning, intermediate and advanced options. The studio is run by Jennifer Mollenhauer, who performs under the stage name Sophia and has been teaching since 2004.

The studio is a small space in a home, so classes are kept intimate. Stretch and exercise classes are $15 each and can be paid in cash, by Cash App, Venmo or card, depending on the class. Men and women are both welcome. The troupe, The Shimmy Cats, also performs at local festivals and belly dance gatherings and can be hired for private events and parties, with pricing depending on location.
