MVCDC

Miami Valley Child Development Centers, also called MVCDC, is southwest Ohio's Head Start agency, offering free and low-cost early learning and childcare for children from 6 weeks to age 5. Its Early Head Start program serves infants and toddlers through center-based and home-based care, and its Head Start preschool prepares children ages 3 to 5 for kindergarten in play-based classrooms.

Most families must earn 100% of the Federal Poverty Level or less to enroll, though children experiencing homelessness or in foster or kinship care are also eligible, and some children with disabilities may qualify. MVCDC has more than 40 locations across Montgomery, Clark and Madison counties, including sites in Dayton, Trotwood, Miamisburg, Springfield, Medway and London. Its in-home learning and Family Child Care Partner programs bring early education into families' communities, and the organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that also offers family support services.
