Cal Shabu

Cal Shabu serves shabu-shabu, a build-your-own hot pot where you cook your choice of meat and vegetables in a pot of seasoned boiling water at your own pace. Each bite gets dipped in Ponzu, a citrus-based soy sauce, or Goma, a sesame and peanut sauce. Condiments like pressed garlic, green onions and white radish let you build your own flavor, and hot drops are available for anyone who likes heat.

The Costa Mesa location is open for lunch Monday through Saturday and for dinner every evening, with later dinner hours on Friday and Saturday. Online ordering is available, and gift cards can be bought for the Costa Mesa location. Cal Shabu also has restaurants in Fountain Valley and in Fairfax, Virginia.
