Historic cemetery with burial, cremation and memorial optionsColumbus, OH

Green Lawn Cemetery is a historic cemetery founded in 1848 as a rural cemetery with winding roads, native trees and family lots set into the terrain. It covers 325 acres and has over 160,000 interments, and it is known for historic and artistic mausoleums and monuments, a pre-European settlement oak forest, and the final resting places of founding families, several U.S. presidential families, five governors and five Medal of Honor recipients. Over 6,000 veterans are buried in seven military sections.
The cemetery offers casket burial, cremation options, mausoleum space, veterans' spaces, green options, community gardens and event spaces, along with upright and grass-level memorials, bench memorials and memorial trees. Payment plans and financing are available, and families can request a free planning guide. The grounds are open daily, though they may close for severe or unsafe weather, and the office keeps weekday and Saturday business hours.
