The Ice Cream Mill

The Ice Cream Mill is a homemade ice cream shop known for small-batch hard scoop ice cream, with more than 25 flavors on hand at a time and dairy-free and vegan options. Specialties include the Sasparilla Float and a range of sundaes such as the Colorado Colossal, a five-scoop sundae, along with pies and other baked goods. Waffle cones are hand-rolled in the store, and there is no extra charge for a cone. The shop does not offer soft serve or milkshakes.

The shop is on East Woodmen Road in Colorado Springs and is open at noon most days, staying open until about 9:30 PM on weeknights and Sundays and until 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. It closes on some snow days, so calling ahead is a good idea in bad weather. Call before visiting to check which flavors are available that day. The shop also delivers ice cream for parties and events with a custom truck, and it sells ice cream and baked goods wholesale to Southern Colorado businesses.
