Boonzaaijer's Dutch Bakery

Boonzaaijer's Dutch Bakery is a family bakery that has been making Dutch pastries and breads since 1896. The case usually holds almond and chocolate croissants, Danish, bear claws, and seasonal pies such as Dutch apple and pecan, along with sweet breads, speculaas, and banket. Custom and wedding cakes, built with layers of cake and Bavarian filling, are a major part of the business and can be requested through a cake quote.

The bakery is at 610 E Fillmore St in Colorado Springs. Bread comes out of the oven around 11 AM each day, and breakfast pastries sell out quickly, so early visits are the best bet. Saturday brings a few special offerings, and holiday pre-orders are sent by email to subscribers. Pickup orders can be placed online.
