Family-owned businesses in Colorado Springs: 10 local spots
A guide to 10 family-owned businesses in Colorado Springs, covering bakeries, hardware, electricians, roofers, appliance repair, decks and escape rooms.
10 local businesses · Updated November 2026 · From Our Local Spotlight
Family-owned businesses in this list cover the work that tends to come up at home or at work: pets, appliances, roofs, windows, electrical wiring, and a bakery and hardware store for everyday needs. Several of them offer free estimates or consultations, which makes it easier to compare what each job would involve before you commit. When you choose among them, ask what is included in a quote, whether the contractor is licensed and insured, and what warranty applies to the work. For bakery orders and custom cakes, ask how far ahead to order, since some items sell out early. Writing down your questions before you call can keep the conversation focused.
