Herbert Strong-designed golf course built in 1920525 N Betty Ln., Clearwater, FL
Clearwater Country Club is a semi-private, 18-hole golf course designed by Herbert Strong and built in 1920, so it is marking its 100th anniversary. The course is supported by a driving range, practice facility, pro shop and clubhouse, and the clubhouse runs a full kitchen, formal dining room, grille room and patio lounge for golfers and large group events.
Tee times can be booked up to 14 days ahead online or by phone, and the club offers discounted rates for juniors, police, active military and others. It also offers the area's only seasonal and short-season memberships, which suits snowbirds and visitors staying a few months. The course sits in downtown Clearwater, minutes from Clearwater Beach and about twenty-five minutes from Tampa International Airport.
