Public 18-hole course with water on 12 holes
Florida's first golf course, established 18971 Country Club Lane, Belleair, FL
Belleair Country Club is a private club on the Gulf Coast with two Donald Ross golf courses, the West and East courses, which trace back to 1897 when Henry Plant built a six-hole winter golf course there. The club says it was Florida's first golf course and that the West Course was restored and renovated in 2022. Members also use a Sports Center with har-tru tennis courts, pickleball courts, a pool, personal trainers, a spa, dining rooms and a small marina.
Membership covers the whole family, with events for children such as Kids Fun Night, poolside parties and camps. The club also hosts weddings and banquets. It sits on a point above Clearwater Bay in Belleair, a designated bird sanctuary, and is best approached by calling ahead to ask about membership or event bookings.
