Strings Ramen

Strings Ramen focuses only on ramen, offering four broths with a range of upgraded toppings and affordable base bowls. The noodles are the draw, made fresh every day on a dough mixer and noodle maker imported from Japan. The Chinatown shop also serves oden, a Japanese winter street food.

Strings is first-come, first-served and does not take reservations, since the team works to turn tables quickly. Orders can be placed online, and gift cards are sold. The shop sits directly across from New Chinatown Square on Archer Avenue, and it stays open until midnight on Friday and Saturday. Strings also has separate locations in Lincoln Park and Hyde Park.
