Maury's Kung Fu & Tai Chi

Maury's Kung Fu & Tai Chi teaches adult classes in kung fu and tai chi, including beginner tai chi, basic kung fu, a class for those 55 and over, and mantis kung fu. The school also runs a herbal school and traditional wellness program focused on practical herbal skills for everyday health. Master Maury holds a 7th degree black sash and has trained in several Chinese martial arts lineages since 1976, while Sifu Sara, a 5th degree black sash, helps run the school.

The classes are for adults only and are held in a clean, quiet space on Executive Boulevard in Chesapeake. New students can book a one-time trial class for $49 through the website. The herbal program meets on Tuesday evenings, and the school also offers online programs and videos for practice at home.
