Sugar Bakeshop

Sugar Bakeshop is a small-batch bakery on Cannon Street known for its cupcakes and cookies, with fall favorites like apple cider donuts, s'mores and pecan treats, plus pies and pound cakes. The bakery makes everything by hand each morning, using local ingredients such as eggs, seasonal fruit and Adluh flour milled in Columbia, South Carolina.

Cupcakes and cookies are sold in the shop daily, but the best picks go early. Whole cakes, pies and holiday orders are taken by phone, and cancellations need at least 48 hours' notice. The bakery has been open for nearly 20 years and is closed on Sundays. Its address is 59 1/2 Cannon Street in Charleston, in the Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood.
