Childcare & preschool in Charleston

Childcare and preschool businesses look after children during the day while parents work or attend school, and many also provide early learning. Services you may see listed include infant and toddler care, preschool and pre-K programs, pre-K preparation, potty training support, and extracurricular classes such as story time or sports enrichment. Offerings differ a lot from one center to the next, so match the program to your child's age and your schedule. Before you choose, ask about teacher-to-child ratios, what a typical day looks like, and how staff handle illness and pickup. Visit during a working session if you can, and ask about waitlists early, since spots for infants often fill first.
