Black Point Corporation is a privately owned company held by the heirs of the Sprague family, who use it to manage properties they have held in Cape Elizabeth and Scarborough since the early 1900s. The holdings, known collectively as Ram Island Farm, include conservation land, forestry, and farming. The company has also managed Scarborough Beach State Park for the State of Maine since 1993.
Sprague Hall, a Queen Anne meetinghouse built in 1889, is available for events and has room for large town gatherings, with tongue and groove wood walls and classic grange hall features. It sits on Charles E. Jordan Road just off State Route 77 in Cape Elizabeth, a short distance from Scarborough and Crescent Beaches. The Ram Island Farm office keeps standard weekday hours and can be reached by phone.
