Lotus Counseling

Lotus Counseling is a counseling practice in Birmingham that works with girls and women. Its therapy covers behavioral and family issues for girls, and for teens it addresses trauma, bullying, self esteem, depression, self injurious behavior, substance abuse and teen pregnancy. For adult women, the practice offers individual and family counseling for anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, work and life balance, divorce and domestic violence.

The practice accepts several insurance plans, including Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare and ALLKids, as well as private pay, and offers a sliding scale fee and payment arrangements for most services. A state approved substance abuse assessment costs $120 and is required for admission into state funded substance abuse programs. The office is at Cahaba Heights Court in Birmingham.
