Gatos and Beans

Gatos and Beans is a cat cafe in Birmingham, Alabama, billed as the state's first cat cafe. Guests pay an admission pass for an hour in a cat room, which includes a soft drink, tea, water, or drip coffee. The cats are available for adoption through Kitty Kat Haven & Rescue.

Reservations are not required but are strongly recommended, since the cat room holds only 12 people per hour and weekends fill up quickly. The cafe also hosts private bookings for birthday parties and special gatherings, and it sells handmade cat-inspired jewelry in the store. It is on 3rd Court South in the Birmingham area.
