Empower Counseling

Empower Counseling is a women-centered counseling practice offering individual therapy for teens, college students, young adults and adult women. Its therapists work with anxiety, perfectionism, eating disorders, trauma, depression, PTSD, addiction and life transitions, and the practice also offers life coaching. Clients can book a first session as a conversation rather than an intake process, and the practice says it does not require a formal diagnosis.

Sessions are offered in person at the Birmingham office on Office Park Circle or online for women across Alabama and Tennessee. Individual 50-minute sessions range from $155 to $250 depending on the therapist's licensure and specialty. Empower is private-pay and out of network, so clients receive a superbill to submit to their insurer for possible reimbursement, and it accepts cash, major credit cards and HSA cards.
