Magnolia Kitchen

Magnolia Kitchen is a family-owned cafe in Bakersfield that bakes scratch-made items daily, including stuffed cookies, cinnamon rolls and sourdough, and runs a full coffee bar with dessert-style lattes. It is also known for Del's Frozen Lemonade, which the site describes as one of the few places on the West Coast serving it. The menu includes sandwiches, burgers, salads and comfort plates for lunch and dinner.

The kitchen serves breakfast-style items and lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday, and is closed Sundays. Walk-ins are welcome, though the cafe suggests reservations since tables fill quickly. Magnolia Kitchen also caters events such as baby showers, weddings and recurring office lunches, with a 48-hour notice preferred. The cafe is on Truxtun Avenue, just east of the river.
