24th Street Cafe

24th Street Cafe is a breakfast and lunch restaurant known for its large breakfast menu, including steak and eggs, chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, omelettes and pancakes. The lunch side covers burgers, hot and cold sandwiches like the Reuben on grilled rye, and a Texas chili. The cafe was established in 1987 by Mark Huggs, a third generation restaurateur, in a building that has housed a coffee shop since 1950.

Breakfast is served all day, and the cafe is open daily from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. To-go orders are taken Monday through Thursday only, with an 18% service charge on to-go orders and on parties of five or more. Sides and sandwiches come with a choice of fries, salad, chips or fruit. The restaurant is at 1415 24th Street in Bakersfield.
