Terry Black's Barbecue

Terry Black's Barbecue serves Central Texas barbecue, with sliced brisket, chopped beef, sausage, turkey, pork ribs and beef ribs, plus sandwich combos and family packs. The family grew up in Lockhart, the barbecue capital of Texas, and the menu draws on that background, with sides like mac and cheese, pinto beans and potato salad.

Orders can be placed online, and whole chilled meats are available by online order while supplies last. Family packs feed about 5 to 12 people. The restaurant is at 1003 Barton Springs Road, and the family also runs a private event space called The High Road on Dawson, behind the restaurant at 700 Dawson Road, and offers catering and a behind-the-scenes pit tour experience.
