Bonitata Boutique Wine

Bonitata Boutique Wine makes small-lot, handcrafted wines and has served the Sacramento and Sierra Foothills area from its Auburn location for over 10 years. Production and barrel storage happen in the Old Stone Winery, an 1874 building in the historic Bernhard Museum complex, with two-foot-thick walls and a back section buried 15 feet underground. A second tasting room in The Boiler Room at the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg pours the same wines about 15 minutes south of Sacramento.

The Auburn tasting bar sits among the winemaking equipment and barrels, and visitors can add a tour of the house and Bernhard's old production facility, connected to the winery by a tunnel. Parking is in the museum lot a short walk away. The Clarksburg room is open weekends only, and reaching it means walking through the main Sugar Mill building and heading outside.
