Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack

Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack has served Nashville-style hot chicken and southern soul food since 2009. Each piece of fried chicken is made to order, starting plain before the heat is added, anywhere from mild to extra hot, or with no spice at all. The menu also includes grilled and rotisserie chicken, chicken salads, pot pies, and waffles, along with starters, sandwiches, sides, and desserts. The fried chicken has been voted best fried chicken eleven years in a row.

The kitchen makes its classic American recipes from scratch daily with local ingredients, and the birds are naturally raised. Orders can be placed online or at the counter for takeout, and the shop also handles catering in North and South Carolina. Besides the Asheville location on Patton Avenue, the company runs shops in Arden and Greenville, South Carolina. Gift cards and hats, shirts, and hoodies are sold, and the shop stays open later on Friday and Saturday.
