The Produce Station

The Produce Station is a grocery and specialty food store in Ann Arbor with a long-running focus on fresh produce, which it has sourced from Michigan farmers since 1986. The store also runs a salad bar with scratch-made soups and dressings, a prepared foods kitchen, a cheese case, a beer and wine selection, and a garden center. Its catering menu covers breakfast, lunch, dinner, corporate, picnic and holiday events, and most items can be packed in individual containers.

Catering orders are generally placed at least a week ahead, though last-minute orders are sometimes accommodated with 48 hours' notice when capacity allows. Gift cards can be bought at the register or ordered online and mailed. The main store is at 1629 South State Street, and the seasonal garden center on West Stadium Boulevard operates from May through August. Wine buyer Hugo Ristow is usually available to talk through selections on Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons.
